Nilzon Publishing Group
Anti Spam Policy

1. Anti Spam Policy Summary

Thank you for visiting this Nilzon Publishing Group website and reviewing our anti-spam policy. Our policy is simple: We operate under a strict anti-spam policy and are fully committed to permission-based e-mail marketing practices only.

E-mail addresses collected on our websites are never shared, rented or sold. We only send messages that relate to an agreed-upon transaction or update a customer in an existing business relationship. We do not send messages that contain false or misleading information. All e-mails sent out to opt-in lists contain a response mechanism that allows the recipient to unsubscribe from the list immediately, automatically and permanently.

2. What is spam?

Unlike permission-based e-mail marketing where the recipient has opted in to receive information, spam is the practice of sending massive amounts of e-mail promotions or advertisements (and scams) to people that have not asked for it. These messages are usually intrusive and have nothing to do with any particular subject the recipient has expressed interest in.

Spammers frequently use automatic programs called bots to scour the Internet for addresses. They also buy addresses from other spammers who have harvested them the same way. Other popular methods include guessing e-mail addresses using name generation programs, then sending messages to these addresses to find out which ones are valid.

These people are hard to catch, which is the reason spam has continued to be a problem even with new laws in effect. Why are spammers hard to catch, you may ask? Simple: They do everything they can to cover their tracks… and… they’re pretty good at it, too. They hide their own address (the “From” or “Reply To” field) and, instead, use a fake address or no address at all. A particularly dirty trick is to use the e-mail address of an unknowing third party and relay messages through their e-mail server. Now it looks like the e-mail came from the innocent person who suddenly finds himself in hot water with his ISP.

3. How Nilzon Publishing Group Avoids Spamming

Nilzon Publishing Group operates its business to incorporate a strict permission-based e-mail philosophy.

This means the following:

  • WE DO NOT send unsolicited e-mail. We do not purchase e-mail lists for the purpose of mass mailings. Neither do we harvest, mine or collect e-mail addresses by running automated harvesting scripts for purposes of sending unsolicited or unauthorized material.
  • WE DO NOT send e-mail that could intentionally damage, disable, overburden or impair any aspect of the recipient's e-mail program.
  • WE DO NOT send messages that contain false or misleading subject lines or content.
  • WE DO NOT use any means of deceptive addressing, such as employing techniques to misrepresent, hide or obscure information that shows the point of origin of the e-mail transmission.
  • WE DO NOT use invalid or forged headers.
  • WE DO NOT use invalid or non-existent domain names.

4. Guaranteeing A Positive Relationship With Our Clients

To not only comply with current anti-spam laws, but also make sure we build a positive relationship with each of our clients, contacts and partners, we have given serious thought to how we use e-mail in our day-to-day business. Our goal, of course, is to never offend by sending uninvited messages. Our e-mail model is grounded in professionalism -- providing value through useful, relevant information of the highest quality.

Here is how we incorporate this philosophy in our e-mail activities:

  1. We are committed to permission-based e-mail marketing practices only.
  2. E-mail addresses collected on our websites are never shared, rented or sold.
  3. We only send messages that relate to an agreed-upon transaction or update a customer in an existing business relationship. Any message of commercial nature, such as promotions of books, training programs, software and events, always relates to the subject the recipient has expressed interest in.
  4. We do not send messages that contain false or misleading information.
  5. All e-mails sent out to opt-in lists contain a response mechanism that allows the recipient to unsubscribe from the list. The unsubscribe procedure is simple and direct: if a recipient decides to opt out, he or she will be removed from the list immediately, automatically and permanently. Except for a confirmation message, no future messages will ever be sent to the recipients e-mail address again.
